Meet the Instructor:

Beth Trabue Gorham is a native Nashvillian who began taking photography classes in high school. She received a BFA in Photography from the University of Georgia and an MFA in Photography from ETSU. In between those studies she worked for Sally Mann where she gained invaluable experience assisting the world-renowned artist in the print production for gallery shows. She began teaching photography at Nashville State in 2000 and became a full-time professor in 2001. She has taught a wide variety of classes from beginning digital to history of photography to studio lighting, and while technology marches on, she has kept one foot in the darkroom sharing her love for this medium to hundreds of students.
